Ability Edge works in partnership with community agencies, employment centres, career centres and services within universities and colleges to provide employment opportunities for graduates with self-declared disabilities.

As an Ability Edge partner, here's how you can help university and college graduates with self-declared disabilities launch their careers:

• Direct them to the Ability Edge prgram website . Encourage them to read about the program and register as candidates. They can review and apply to the internship positions that match their education and career goals. Internship positions range from marketing to information technology to human resources. Career Edge ensures each position is challenging and provides a significant learning opportunity.

You can also have them send their cover letters and résumés directly to info@abilityedge.ca. We will keep it on file and contact them if an opportunity arises the matches their background and education. However, we will NOT alert them of opportunities on the website and all prospective interns must be registered on Ability Edge to qualify for any internship opportunities. 

• Inform your corporate partners about the Ability Edge program.  It is a low-risk, cost-effective way to diversity their workforce and bring bright young talent into their organization. As an Ability Edge host, they are helping someone start their career while their organization benefits from the fresh ideas, energy and talents of an Ability Edge intern.
• Display Ability Edge brochures and posters. These can be ordered by emailing Career Edge at info@careeredge.ca or by fax at 416-977-4090.
